Our original mission was to imbue girls with a sense they can be anything they want to be. The message: dream, persevere, believe in yourself.
Today we have expanded our dream to focuses on issues that are important to the world and in our communities: pregnant and parenting teens, wheelchair athletes, protecting the environment and our oceans, and childhood obesity.
Galapagos Islands are the birthplace of evolution. Created by volcanoes and developed in isolation, their birds and animals evolved shaped by their environment. Birds developed different kinds of beaks, cormorants' wings shrank as they became swimmers, tortoises' shells changed, and iguanas learned to swim for food. This is the one place on earth with tropical fish and penguins.
